Activity - Pancake Invitation

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Thawed frozen or freshly made pancakes
• Nontoxic varnish
• Paint or sponge brush
• Permanent black marker

LET'S GET STARTED:

1. Set pancakes on a cooling rack and let dry until they are rock-hard, approximately 2-3 days.
2. Protect both sides of the pancake with 3 coats of varnish.   Allow to dry in between each coat.
3. Write party details on one side with the permanent marker and deliver!
4. If you wish to mail the pancake invitation, write the guest's name and address on the opposite side. Don't forget to leave room for stamps.
5. Bring pancake invitations to post office and have them weighed to determine proper postage. (The diameter must measures at least 3-1/2 inches).
