Recipe - French Roll-Ups
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 2-3 slices dense white or egg bread with crusts removed
- Margarine or butter
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Favorite syrup
LET'S GET STARTED:
- Whisk together egg and milk in a shallow bowl.
- Spread a slice of bread with margarine or butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, then roll up and seal ends by pinching bread slightly. Roll in egg batter.
- Carefully poke roasting stick through roll-up at midsection and hold over coals until all sides are lightly brown, about 11/2 minutes on each side.
- Remove from stick and serve with syrup.
